Our services and how they work
What makes us different? We don't rep any products or take any commissions from equipment companies. Our advice is based only on what we believe will be the best, most satisfying investment for you.
Which one of these stages applies to your project?
Pre-license
At this stage, you mainly need a location, a budget, a business plan, and to collect all of the required documents to submit for your license. It's up to you to pick a location and learn the regulations and application requirements for that municipality. Once you do that, come here for operating plan templates. Most clients prefer not to pay an attorney or CPA >$25,000 to create all of their application materials. The smart DIY cannabis entrepreneur can save over $10,000 working from templates and having an attorney review everything before submission. What's great is that reading the templates will teach you a whole lot about how to be a cannabis business operator, and you'll have a big list of action items collected after you read them, which leads to greater mastery of the project.
Design/Budgeting/Planning
This package is a one to two-month process that should start when your indoor cultivation location is secured. Jennifer will create a cultivation system for you that matches your budget, philosophy, and most efficient industry standards, and then lay out the rooms in a facility to match it. The deliverables include:
* A floor plan that suit maximum yields and optimized workflow
* Potential yield calculations based on best and worst-case scenarios
* Water and electrical usage calculations
* Recommendations for engineers and equipment
* Guidance on best suited cultivation media and methods
* Plant counts for each room and stage of growth
* Schedule of cloning, transplanting and harvesting
* Guidance on cultivar choices and sources
* Guidance on lighting choices
* Guidance on racking and benching choices
* Guidance on climate control (HVACD) equipment choices
* As-needed interfacing with your architect and engineer
The flat rate for this service depends on the size of your facility, but typically costs from $7500-19,500 for pre-existing buildings. The time frame for an initial floor plan draft is 2-3 weeks, and the whole process usually takes 2-3 months. The facility design process ends when your architect and engineer have everything they need to produce construction documents, and you know how you will outfit your facility.
Ground-up construction projects are billed hourly at $275 - $300/hr.
Personalized Hourly Consulting
For smaller projects contact Jennifer Martin for hourly consultation time @$300/hr to discuss anything cultivation-related that piques your curiosity. Becoming a student of process is critical to your success.
For HVACD climate control consulting, Jeff Ledsinger is available @$275/hour to help you understand the different brands and technologies so you can choose the right system for your budget and required features. HVACD (Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning and Dehumidification) consulting is important so you'll know the pros and cons of the different system choices and therefore be able to strike the right balance between cost, features and performance.
For California Compliance or Licensing support, Don Duncan is available @$275/hr to help ensure that you submit what the BCC, CDFA or CDPH requires the first time so your license will not be delayed. Contact us for California license consulting.

Custom Nutrient Formulas
For mineral-based feeding regimens, Jennifer Martin can create or repair your formulas. She will guide you through the process of buying ingredients, mixing them together, applying them to the plants and learning how to lab test and dial in the ideal formulas. Custom nutrient regimens cost $17,500 per formula (two formulas- veg and flower) and include 1 year of as-needed support interpreting lab tests, adjusting formulas and teaching you to understand how cannabis nutrients behave and how they should be applied. Contact Jennifer for more information. Or read more about custom nutrients.
Nursery / Cloning Consulting
Because of how common it is to get pests and diseases from cannabis nurseries, and because Sea of Green growing is becoming more popular due to its production efficiency, the best cannabis flower producers should learn to root their own high quality clones. If you want to grow straight to the top with your nursery design and workflow, contact us to learn the best practices for medium- and large-scale propagation consulting. Jennifer has tried cloning machines, all methods of rooting and combinations of temperature and humidity settings imaginable. Contact Jennifer for more information.
