Hi, I'm Jennifer Martin, the creator of this website and a veteran commercial grower and cultivation consultant. My colleague and I created these operating plan documents to help cannabis business operators legitimize and streamline their operations. With hundreds of satisfied customers under our belts, we are certain that we've got the best starter templates for cannabis operators available online.
Unlike other cannabis websites, this business is owner operated and I personally stand behind the quality of the available products and services.
Cannabis Inventory Control Plan
All cannabis operations need tight inventory control systems in order to stay compliance with regulations. You'll have a software tracking system, such as METRC or BioTrack that ties in with the state systems, and then you might also have a secondary software system with more features that connects with METRC or BioTrack via API.
Our Inventory Control Plan is the narrative document that establishes protocols, training and standards for tracking and labeling inventory. It's your SOP for inventory control processes and will likely be examined by inspectors when they visit your facility, to ensure your system is designed well and functioning as it should, up to fully professional standards.
Obviously tracking THC materials from the inception of plant growth throughout the life cycle, then beyond harvest to the point of sale is critical. You've got your internal tracking from one department of your business to another, and also the tracking of the transfer of materials to other license holders, which is known as the chain of custody. This document addresses all aspects of how the tracking and transfers will occur and be double checked and traceable after the fact.
Cannabis inventory control is a cornerstone part of your business planning and compliance process, and often a plan like this is required before your license is granted. Have a look at the Table of Contents below and contact us for more info and to preview the doc. : )
