"Good morning Jennifer, Let me say I am totally blown away by the depth and level of detail in your answers, I am truly grateful to have you on our side." - Steve Hamilton, U.K.
Hi, I'm Jennifer Martin, the creator of this website and a veteran commercial grower and cultivation consultant. My colleague and I created these operating plan documents to help cannabis business operators legitimize and streamline their operations. With hundreds of satisfied customers under our belts, we are certain that we've got the best starter templates for cannabis operators available online.
Unlike other cannabis websites, this business is owner operated and I personally stand behind the quality of the available products and services.
Cannabis Manufacturing Operations Plan
Most cannabis cultivation operations also extract and manufacture cannabis products. Extraction and manufacturing (also sometimes called "cannabis processing") are great ways to make the most out of a flower harvest. You might be a jurisdiction that does not allow smokable flower to be sold, or you might be trying to make full use of your lower, less mature flower material.
This Cannabis Processing Plan is what you would submit with your application to show regulators that you've thought through your methods. It starts with detailed descriptions of what your lead production, extraction and formulation personnel will be responsible for, and what job qualifications they should have.
The next section of the Manufacturing Plan is an overview of your manufacturing methods and technologies. The methods used for manufacturing cannabis vary quite a bit, so we have placeholder text in the plan for ethanol extraction, rosin pressing and sifted kief. You might also be using Co2 extraction or butane. You'll see where to plug in your own information as you read through it.
Quality Control is a big part of producing pharmaceutical grade cannabis derivative products. Therefore, this Manufacturing Plan has sections on Safety, Security, Equipment Standards, Sanitation, Packaging and Labeling. We have separate plans that go more deeply into quality control and these secondary topics, but if you only need a Manufacturing Plan, this one is fairly comprehensive.
Bear in mind that this Marijuana Processing Plan is not meant to teach you how to processing cannabis; it is meant to assure regulators that you have pre-planned your business, facility and processes for the sake of licensure. Once you are licensed, you can use this plan template as a basis for documenting and detailing internal operations.
