Hi, I'm Jennifer Martin, the creator of this website and a veteran commercial grower and cultivation consultant. My colleague and I created these operating plan documents to help cannabis business operators legitimize and streamline their operations. With hundreds of satisfied customers under our belts, we are certain that we've got the best starter templates for cannabis operators available online.
Unlike other cannabis websites, this business is owner operated and I personally stand behind the quality of the available products and services.
Cannabis Quality Control and Assurance Plan
Quality Assurance and Quality Control are quickly becoming central concerns of all cannabis producers, both growers and manufacturers. This is because cannabis products, in most jurisdictions, are still primarily marketed and sold for medical use. Medical use has a high standard of quality and consistency that cannabis producers must demonstrate through well documented processes and procedures.
Because the United States hasn't legalized cannabis or marijuana products federally, GMP standards have not yet become required. Quality Control for cannabis operates at the State level, where each State sets its own guidelines. In other countries, however, some form of GMP compliance is generally required. It might be the GMP standard chosen by that country, or it might be the standard established by another country that the cannabis products are exported to.
You as a cannabis producer must meet the minimum quality assurance standards of your jurisdiction, and then you may also choose to maintain a higher standard that makes your products more marketable to countries importing cannabis.
Your compliance standards start with your facility design, the establishment of standards and methods, and the collection of data.
This Cannabis Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan Template is a starter doc generally oriented towards Cannabis QA/QC in the United States. It does not address GAP, GMP, cGMP or EU-GMP standards, per se, but it can be customized to any jurisdiction and set of rules.
If you need a QA/QC Plan for exporting cannabis, contact Jennifer Martin. We are in the process of creating more in-depth Quality Assurance documentation.
